NEW YORK — It was another route. The Yankees kept the same formula they did in game one. Keep it close against the starter, in this case Sonny Gray, and blow the doors off the Red Sox bullpen. They did just that and will now advance to the ALDS.

NOTES:
- Max Fried's command was not phenomenal, but six innings and one run allowed is just how you draw it up.
- Small ball was the formula for the Yankees before the home run in the six-run sixth inning against Garrett Crochet and Garret Whitlock
- Cody Bellinger broke the game open with a big three-run home run.
- Willson Contraras and Nick Sogard both hit solo home runs for the Red Sox.
- The Yankees sweep the Red Sox and advance to the ALDS.
