That should be it for Max Fried. He was missing his spots often in the frame. Fried was a strike away from six shutout innings before Willson Contreras hit a solo home run to give Boston their first run of the series.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. made a phenominal catch with one out to give the Yankees their second out of the frame, getting to the spot and making a Willy Mays-like catch in center field.

The Yankees are going to need more runs in this one. They had a chance last inning but could not convert.
