The Red Sox had the bullpen working after George Lombard Jr. opened the inning with an infield single and Rosario walked on a 3-2 pitch that he used ABS to get.

However, Anthony Volpe popped out in foul ground, Spencer Jones lined into a double play, and the Yankees stranded the runners. George Lombard Jr. was WAY too far off the bag and let Tolle and the Red Sox off the hook.

The Yankees have struggled with runners in scoring position tonight so far, and with just the slim 1-0 lead, leaving runners on will come back to bite them.
