Payton Tolle/Erik Miller's Fifth Inning — ALWCS G1

Payton Tolle started the inning, getting Austin Wells to pop out to his catcher and Paul Goldschmidt to line out hard to right field. That was enough for Chad Tracy, who came out to get his ace.

Ben Rice then stepped up against lefty reliever Erik Miller, and Rice took him to dead center field into Monument Park, 423 feet. It gave the Yankees a huge insurance run, one they needed with Cam Schlittler's pitch count climbing and the questions in their bullpen.
