Alec Gamboa's Seventh Inning — ALWCS G1
Yankees 4, Red Sox 0 After 7
The Yankees led the inning off with back-to-back singles from Spencer Jones and Austin Wells against Alec Gamboa, then a Paul Goldschmidt walk loaded the bases with no outs.
Ben Rice then recorded his third hit of the night (a triple shy of the cycle), an RBI single, to give the Yankees some insurance and end the night of Gamboa.

New York pinch hit for Heliot Ramos, who was 0-3 to start the game, with Luis Garcia Jr. against the RHP Wyatt Olds. Garcia Jr. grounded into a double play (on a phenomenal play by Nick Sogard), which allowed a run to score. Cody Bellinger then flew out on the first pitch to end the inning.

They will cling to a 4-0 lead going into the top of the eighth inning. No lead should feel safe.
